Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

1. Independent marketplace utility

PetitionMap is an independent software utility that connects petition circulators with political firms and campaigns posting paid signature-gathering opportunities. We do not employ circulators, negotiate wages, or manage compliance on behalf of any user.

2. User responsibilities

All users are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the state-specific circulator laws, residency mandates, registration requirements, and compensation rules that apply to each petition drive they join or post. This includes, but is not limited to, verifying whether out-of-state travel is permitted, whether a circulator must be a registered voter, and whether pay-per-signature compensation is lawful in the relevant jurisdiction.

3. Campaign firm postings

Campaign firms and consultants that post drives are responsible for the accuracy of every listing, including payout amounts, deadlines, location details, and eligibility rules. PetitionMap does not verify postings and is not a party to any contract between a firm and a circulator.

4. Circulator applications

Circulators may apply to drives through the platform. Acceptance, rejection, payment, and working conditions are controlled entirely by the sponsoring firm. PetitionMap does not guarantee work, earnings, or the validity of any signature collected.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PetitionMap and its operators disclaim all liability for disputes, losses, fines, or legal claims arising from listings, applications, or field work arranged through the platform.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of PetitionMap after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
